I hadn't until I heard from a student (or 5) about this really cool lady out in the midwest. Her name is "Dairy Carrie" and she does a blog at dairycarrie.com. She also has a Facebook page, which I immediately "liked" and now obsessively follow her blogs the instant she posts them.
She writes about everyday farm life (which is really what I tried to do here, though I just can't seem to keep up with it like she does). She clearly loves her cows and is really interesting and a great writer. Very cool lady indeed.
ANYWAY, one of the students that works here was inspired by Dairy Carrie's life stories and lessons and such, and wants (in the deepest way) to be able to share her love of the animals like Carrie does.
Sierra Perry has worked at Witter for about a year now, and has a nearly bottomless well of "cattle-enthusiasm". She would love to share her thoughts about cows with the world, instead of just with her family, who, she has informed me, is "really sick of hearing about cows AGAIN'.
For the next little while I am going to let Sierra take over the blog for Witter Farm. She is very excited to do it, and I'm sure will keep you interested and entertained.
I should have your first posting from "Dairy Perry" this week!
