My favorite thing about working at Witter is that it reminds me of home. Each of the cows have their own unique and wonderful personalities (even when they’re being a pain in my butt) and some of them remind me of my own cows. Even when I’m scraping the stalls or fighting with a cow who doesn’t want to go where she’s supposed to go, it reminds me that this is what I love to do! I don’t know why I ever thought I could do anything different.
Now, as the semester winds to a close, it makes me sad to think that I won’t be getting to see the cows as much next semester (although I won’t miss waking up at 3AM). I did, however, sign up to milk over winter break so I will definitely enjoy that time I get with them, and I’ll definitely visit as much as possible during the spring!
