That being said, I completely forgot that she wasn't doing it, and so I haven't been blogging either (obviously).
So what I would like to write about is a particular fashion trend that we have going on in our herd.
An important part of any dairy is identification. Many farms use different methods to identify cows for different things. Obviously, knowing which cow is which is very important. Our ladies all have eartags, one with their name and birthday and one with their parents' names.
Anyway, I am sure you get the picture. There are always a couple of gals who are styling some pretty colored bracelets in the herd at any given point in time.
What I discovered today though, is that these fancy legbands can serve another purpose!
When scrubbing things that are over my head (like the pipeline in the dairy), the wash water tends to run down my arms and into my arm pits making my shirt wet and nasty and cold. These fancy legbands, can be wrapped around people too, and if used in conjunction with a dry towel, can sponge up the wash water while I am scrubbing, keeping my shirt dry and making me a happy farmer!!
